Just letting everyone know that I'm still alive.

This weekend I'm going to Gatlinburg with Adam and his family!  I am so excited.

Start work June 12th.  I will be working four hours a day at nine dollars an hour as a job coach.  Basically, I will be doing the same kinda stuff I did in Mrs. Ward's room for money.  And I still get my weekends off!  Woot.

Cost 600 freakin bucks to get my car fixed.  I so got raped, but whatever.  My parents halved it with me... getting my car fixed - $300 dollars... not having to worry about it exploding... priceless.

Not much else going on.

Sleep...

Woot diddley woot woot!

Adam and I are planning a trip to Disney World.  Oh yes.  June 2007, right after he graduates and I will be on summer vacation.  We are so pumped.  We are going to stay for seven days and have tons of fun!  It is also totally cool because it's like our first trip together as a couple and mom approves.  She won't really have a choice by then because I'll be 18, but that's not what's important.

Oh, and to those of you who don't approve...  nah nah nah boo boo!

I have a Tendon Sheath Cyst (or something that ryhmes with that) on the base of my left middle finger, which I find very convenient when I get pissed.  And my wisdom teeth are coming in.  Yeah, exciting, I know...

Prom will be fun.  Got my dress about a month ago.  Love it.  Getting my nails done with Sulli, then dinner with Loryn (Adam's sister) and her date Stephen Diaz pre-prom (Adam will be there, too, of course.).  Post prom plans yet to be finalized.

Kelly, I saw Macbeth, but Adam fell asleep through, like, the whole first half, so we bolted after the "toiling of the trouble" scene.  You rocked my socks off though, which means you freaked me out... in a good way, since that's what you were going for (I hope, cause if it wasn't I'm just gonna feel silly).

Nothing else new to report... so I'm gonna quit rambling.  You're welcome.

Without bad, there could be no good.

Follow your instinct.  It will never lead you astray.

No one can tell you you are wrong.

No one can solve your problems for you.

Things earned through hard work are considerably greater than things given to you.

Never try to change someone; it won't work.

When life gives you lemons, give them back.  Let life make it's own lemonade.

People will love you for you.  If they don't they are useless to you.

Don't worry about tomorrow.  It never comes anyways.

There are no such things as mistakes, only learning experiences.

Hate benefits none.  Love saves all.

Never listen to a liar.  They tend to lie.

Stubbornness leads to ignorance.

The day you learn nothing is the day you cease to live.

The grass may be greener on the other side, but your's is shorter.

There is no such thing as love at first sight.  You cannot truly love someone until you know them.  Really know them.

The meaning of life is to search for the meaning of life.

There are no acceptions to Murphy's Law.

Ignoring your past won't make it go away.

Listen.  Always listen.  There might be a quiz later.

Always ask for advice; don't always listen.

Only give advice when someone asks for it; don't expect them to listen.

Never forget where you came from; it got you where you are.

Life has no pause button.

You cannot be happy until you quit being sad.

If you stop trying you will inevitably fail.

You have to face the truth eventually.  Do it now and get it over with.

Always look at the bright side of things; the alternative isn't so nice.

Be cautious when giving someone your heart.  You can't get it back.

Admit when you are wrong.  If you do this you will at least be right about something.

Respect does not come with age or experience.  It must be earned.

Boredom is nothing more than a state of mind.

Find your happy place.  Visit often.

The little Love-god lying once asleep
Laid by his side his heart-inflaming brand,
Whilst many nymphs that vowed chaste life to keep
Came tripping by; but in her maiden hand
The fairest votary took up that fire,
Which many legions of true hearts had warmed;
And so the general of hot desire
Was, sleeping, by a virgin hand disarmed.
This brand she quenched in a cool well by,
Which from Love's fire took heat perpetual,
Growing a bath and healthful remedy
For men diseased; but I, my mistress' thrall,
Came there for cure, and this by that I prove:
Love's fire heats water, water cools not love.

Sonnet 154  William Shakespeare

Love is such an amazing thing.  No one can understand it.  No one can define it.

But who would want to?

When I was in the hospital a year ago, Adam brought me a candy bar and Sprite, because I was hungry.  But I wasn't allowed to eat or drink, because I was listed pre-op because of my lung.

So Nikki drank the Sprite and mom ate the Hersheys bar.

One year later, Adam shows up at my house with a Sprite and a Hersheys bar, telling me how happy he is that I'm alive.

Now that's an awesome boyfriend, but an even better friend.
